Anywhere you go, I’ll follow you down

I know this is so last week. My little bitch and I went to see Gin Blossoms live and we waited for the band backstage when the concert was done. The most HAHA moment is when we asked the security personnel to take a photo of us with their lead vocals Robin Wilson. I know he’s suppose to be guarding the rock star from the fans and keep them distant but the situation really called for it. It was just me and Liz and we don’t know the other bitches swarming Robin Wilson. I asked the member of his personal army to take our photos. HAHA! You should have seen the shock on his face.
On the first photo, you gotta admit my sister has got some mad paparazzi skills! All the fan girls were screaming Robin Wilson’s name. I literally shove them away from him and asked LIZ to take a photo of me with the vox. Hahaha! When it happened there was an awkward silence since I asked everyone to step aside while I enjoyed the photo opp. HAHA! Memories!

The Sun Also Rises

View from my hospital room. After so much Euphoria from watching Gin Blossoms I landed in the hospital.
I can’t stand to think my life is going so fast and I’m not really living it. I feel like I’m not catching up with this moving world and I’m getting left behind. Everything happens in a snap. Instant noodles, instant relationships, instant break up. I think as humans we need to decelerate. Enjoy each fleeting moments like this beautiful sunrise.  We go so fast that we fail to recognize or appreciate  what is already there and we keep looking for something which is just right in front of us. We’re always on the go and we keep moving without paying any attention to what we already have and just pass by them and lose everything to fleeting chance.

The Ranch

It felt like we were in Texas when we dined in The Ranch. As we all know everything is HUGE in Texas. The food serving was really really BIG. It's a haven for anyone who has a VERY BIG appetite cause the serving can be good for three. It's located near Gullas College of Medicine and it was also an erstwhile who recommended the place. I love eating out with close friends and family. I just wished I wore something that can accommodate the amount of calorie intake while in The Ranch.

Here's a photo of the place and the company I was with:

Simply J's

Who would’ve thought there’s a taste of Upper East Side in this side of Cebu? The owners may have been watching an episode or two of Gossip Girl or they may have been simply influenced by the show or maybe not. This is the first thing that came to mind the moment Van and I stepped inside Simply J’s. Ironic right? The place is called SIMPLY J’s albeit the ninety thousand worth chandelier hanging around the cream colored ceiling and the opulent gift idea’s for any occasion lying around the well-lit room.

If you’re on a quest to dine in style with family or friends without burning a hole in your pocket then this is the perfect place for you. I really recommend this little Nirvana along Escario street near The Parklane Hotel. It’s not hard to find since it really stands out from the entire block. It’s looks upscale inside out but every item from the food to the Victorian inspired mirror is worth every peso. The food’s really delish and the serving is more than your money’s worth. It’s not very commercial compared to the resto’s in malls and you’re not really paying for the food but for the experience that the owners are giving you. Doors are open every Mondays to Saturdays from ten in the morning to eight in the evening. It’s really very homey but definitely not pricey.

Need I say more?

Marco Polo

Free meals. Don’t you just love friends? This is what I wore when my BFF Jed who's also on the photo with me from my previous post invited me to have dinner in Marco Polo hotel. I had to dress up for the occasion and the good thing about dressing up for a formal dinner is that you can control what you eat. It would be such a shame to eat like a pig and chunk on those red meat when you’re all dolled up. You gotta play the part when you’re all prim and proper. That’s pre-conceived notion, right? BUT it is beneficial on every girl’s part. It’s like a force to control what you eat and at the same time it lets you enjoy the food you are eating since you don’t really have to be in a hurry to finish. I don't want to look very puffy in my dress. Food is really a guilty pleasure. The food was really great but the chef’s better. Haha!

Through the Years

I get by with a little help from my friends. :)

Starbucks 2011 planner

Starbucks is an excellent example of charity in the guise of capitalism (especially during this Christmas season) The planner is not a choice, it is my right. It's also a yearly whim! An expensive one at that. To regain my anti-capitalist throne, I think I should start unfriending peeps this holiday season.

sick and chic!

Because I hate the diabolical hair brush and I get constantly annoyed with these shampoo commercials promoting long hair, I decided to cut my hair shorter. How short can my hair get?! To be honest, I nearly broke into tears when they started to chop my hair off. I don't want to have hard feelings. There's no more turning back and it's time to move forward. I'll share to you a line from the movie Coco before Chanel, When a woman cuts her hair, her life is about to change.

I had to go out and show the world my new look so I went out with my sisters and BFF Van Ayson. We had a very carbo-inspired late lunch and watched The Social Network. Mark Zuckerberg is a genius! Lesson learned: If you can't beat your enemies, buy them.
