Jumping Islands

I wanted to stitch them photos altogether to save space and download time if you ever drop by here but they're just too good to be cropped or resized. Honestly don't know where to start so I'll just create a bullet point post to make life easier for me.

  • Finally met Bal's lovely sister, Ariadne, who flew all the way from LA and I can barely imagine the long flight. She's home for the summer in this side of the universe. I seriously think it's so sweet of her husband, Arbind, to travel with her across the globe. She was suppose to travel alone and Arbind surprised her at the very last minute. Ain't love the sweetest thing?
  • Days before their arrival, she invited me to join them island hopping with the rest of the family. I couldn't say no and I gladly said yes. Didn't even mind that I have vertigo and the motion sickness when one goes cruising.
  • If you can keep a secret, I really like the boy's sister. I was a bit coy at first but you know how they say about the rest is history. It felt like we've known each other for a long time and meeting her a few days ago felt really natural. No awkwardness. =)
  • Drop off point for the islands banca cruise is in Punta EngaƱo. Please don't ask me for directions. I am not very familiar in Lapu-Lapu but it's somewhere in between Shang and Movenpick Resort. When in doubt, ask the locals or check google maps.
  • First stop is Pandanon Island. I like the beach so much and the water's so inviting. Come on, just take the plunge!
  • After spending almost an hour swimming and endlessly taking photos in Pandanon, we moved to Nalusuan Island. This is where we had our lunch prepared by the islands banca team. They do have good customer service and thank you to our crew for taking good care of us!
  • Nalusuan is my favorite. Not because this is where we had lunch, all right. We did snorkeling and being underwater made me feel like a mermaid. Only that I had some life vest. I'm not that confident with my swimming skills. Thanks to Arbind who gave us some tips when going underwater.
  • I couldn't react when Ariadne said we should have a family portrait. Haha! I'm referring to the last photo on this post. Hope none of them reads this. >.<
  • Ah, The Good Life. <3
first photo is grabbed from Ariadne and the rest are by Bal and me.

Mosbeau

Today, I'm sharing with you the blogger and media lunch with whitening brand Mosbeau that happened Tuesday of last week. It was rather gastronomic. Banana Leaf in Ayala Terraces never fails to add more calories if you're on a diet. It took me a while to post but some good things are worth the wait. Let me start by giving a shout out to the Mosbeau Team and to Rabsin. It felt real good being reunited with the rest of  my loves from Cebu Fashion Bloggers

In all seriousness, I've first learned about Mosbeau when I scanned through the pages of a magazine. It's a whitening brand endorsed by THE Angel Locsin - that alone does not need any introduction.  And of course, the pretty ladies wearing the brand that  serves as a store ambassadress when you visit  Watson's. That's all I know aboutMosbeau and I never really paid attention to it not until that Tuesday.

Liezyl and me are really sisters cause we share the common sentiment about not taking care of our skin. But I do live a more active lifestyle than her. I try to bike sometimes but I definitely run and do yoga weekly. I'm always exposed to the sun and it's hard to keep me indoors. These are things I repeatedly mention in my blog and you  can read them in my previous posts. Being super tanned, I do put a lot of sunscreen to protect my skin  from all the damaging effects of the sun. But that does not stop me from going outdoors.

In between desserts, Sir Clark gave a short presentation about the new Mosbeau Placenta White Advanced with ten active ingredients that are 100% made in Japan - a food supplement that has it all! For active girls like me, I drink two tablets a day. My goal is to have beautiful skin like Angel Locsin's and thank you Sir Clark for sharing Angel's beauty secret! =)

If you wish to have a more fairer and lighter skin, it's suggested to drink four tablets per day. Yep, four tablets and you're not overdoing it. In just 14 days, you'll see the very obvious results. I also like that the tablets are so similar with M&M's and its easy to swallow. There's not even an after taste and best to take them before going to bed. You'll wake up to a more beautiful you. =)

The Lucky Ones

Life lately is a series of attending weddings and baptisms. Not mine, all right. I do feel a bit uneasy when friends asks on when I plan to get married. Is there really something wrong if I answer that I really have no plans as of yet? It's a gut wrenching question. Makes me want to poke your eyeballs.  Sometimes I'd rather prefer that they ask me what my favorite yoga position is rather than being asked the same question every time someone from our circle ties the knot. I am happy to say the least. I'm genuinely glad for my friends who are now happily married. Who knows? Maybe someday I will blog about my own wedding. Not so sure if that's something you guys will look forward to though.

I have mentioned on my post down below regarding the item I got from Blind Clothing. I was eying the mullet skirt the moment it was up for sale but I wasn't that lucky. Somebody else bought it ahead of me and I couldn't just let it go. I have this habit of holding on to some things that's worth my while. Not owning it made me feel like losing a whole year. Insert exaggeration here. But it's really what I felt and I'm not being a brat. You know how it is about losing something you really want. To help me feel better. I sent Dawn a private message in Facebook and asked her to save one for me if she restocks the mullet skirt. And yes she did and in a very timely manner at that! Talk about cosmic significance! And me getting what I want when I least expect it but when I need it most. =)

If you care to ask why I wore black to a wedding, it's only because the theme was black and white. I decided to pair it with an animal printed shirt and some pumped up kicks. I was suffering a bit with those cigarette heels. Minor complain. Yeah, it's the first time I attended a wedding where black and white's the motif. It's as good as saying: come as you are. That applies to me since my closet is full of black and white. I am really in love with the skirt. It makes me feel sexy without even trying. Almost went to bed wearing it. Can you imagine the different kinds of love I witnessed last Sunday? Me with my skirt and my friend who's living her happy ever after. It was really a beautiful day. It was a celebration of their marriage, not just the wedding. <3

Blind Clothing

Hurray for Monday! *coughs*

My weekend was a blast except for some minor and major setbacks. With the extreme heat being unbearable, do I really have to say more? Last Saturday, I met up with my friend,Kathryn Dawn, owner of the online shop Blind Clothing. She's really heaven sent! SRSLY! A few days before our short meet-up, I was having a hard time choosing what to wear on my friends wedding. She really solved my problem. I don't usually do outfit preview but I got all too excited wearing the item that I just have to share the day I got it from her.As for my outfit on this post, iIt totally makes sense to wear shorts and wore this top again as shown here. I eat shorts for breakfast. Blah. Blah.

Cotton Candy

Panic struck me for a while and I thought I lost my blog. I would be completely lost if I lose my favorite space on the internet. Summer of this year is my least favorite part in my entire existence. Or it's the first quarter of the year. It just broke me. Plain and Hard. There were a lot of things that happened. All in one big blow. I am really grateful to those who take time in reading all my non-sense and ramblings. It suddenly feels like my blog is not that little anymore. I will get back to you as soon as possible. Little triumphs. If that's how I should take it.

To some of you who appreciate my honesty then I will be completely honest. It's a bit difficult to maintain this blog without having my own work station(laptop). I consider it a work station cause it takes a lot of work to post just one entry. I have to drain my brains out by choosing which photo to post. If you're narcissistic by choice, five photos of you is not enough. Trust me. My funds are beyond full blown and I still can't afford buying me self a new lappy. I am open to sponsorships and donations. Cry for help. Eww. I will be back with a vengeance, for sure. I'm not going anywhere. I just won't be as visible in your blogs like I used to.

As for the outfit, it's colorful and bright, yes? Wearing lighter colors has its benefits cause you'd feel the same. No heaviness. Last Tuesday, I was with my lovely fashion blogger friends. I attended the product launch of whitening brand Mosbeau in Banana Leaf in Ayala Terraces. Thank you to the entire Mosbeau team for inviting us for lunch and for the VIP treatment. I promise to show more photos once I have my camera sorted out. I can't wait to share about last Tuesday as well. =)

disarm you with a smile

For the first time, I seem to be running out of words and it's rather appropriate for this entry cause if you look at my photos, I seem to be running out of clothes. I'm sure my mother won't approve so don't tell her. But in all seriousness, my mom's real cool. I remember telling her when she saw me wearing clothes with non-threatening coverage that it was to help me get noticed. Those were the prehistoric times before HIS name appeared on my sidebar. I was even on the 'healthy' side. You should have seen my puffer face. I look like Dory in Finding Nemo.  Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...

Due to some recent events and the scorching heat, I am wearing my heels more often. I swear to God if somebody tries to mug me again, I will break their balls with my five inch heels. I swear to God I will. There's a need to wear heels cause it breaks my heart to see them shoes get damaged without having worn them. Might as well sell the pairs to someone who would make use of them. Except for the one worn for this entry. My elder sister gave this to me as a present for Christmas. I like that she knows what I want without even asking. Now that I think about it, most of my clothes are her purchases. Mine's are usually vintage finds so it's still a win-win situation for me. Haha!

No more words. Ultra short shorts is apt. It's too hot. If I can wear my underwear on the streets, I would. I swear to God I would. But that my friend is a different story.

reunited and it feels so good

Last Sunday, I met up with my friends whom I have not seen or spent a few good laughs with for the longest time. Yes, lately I am a bit nostalgic but not overly dramatic, all right. Maybe because everyone is growing up so fast but not necessarily growing old. Or it could be because almost everyone I know is settling down. I'm in no hurry to join the trend though. Things have definitely change. Because it always does. We used to dance in tables and drink in bars with the boys paying for our drinks but now we're sipping coffee or mango shakes while sharing a warm brownie cup in La Marea. It's like a 180 degree change and I like it. I do sometimes miss the dancing and drinking  but I don't miss getting wasted. Not today.

I wore something similar to what Cheche Lazaro or Loren Legarda would normally wear on their now defunct TV shows. Yeah, I grew up watching them. I felt a bit formal and intellectual that day but after work, I had to ditch the skinny jeans and change to my favorite piece of clothing, ever - the shorts. It's too humid to walk around the city with skin tight jeans. The sun's already frying my skin with its maximum temperature so I might as well give my legs the maximum or minimal exposure it deserves. Too bad I don't have a photo of me wearing shorts. There's at least a comparison of me in jeans and the shorts. I couldn't ask my girl friends to take my photos. But next time I will. Hehe.

We met up cause our girl, Sepe, fresh from the land of Kimchi is getting married this Sunday. Thank you, Sepe for personally handing over your wedding invitation. And thank you for stressing me out on thinking of what to wear on your wedding day. Just trippin! These girls really bring out the bitch in me. Haha! I can only share so much on the things we had been through and this feels a bit dramatic and sappy. I will reserve all of those for Sunday. I bet Lorac will feel the same way. Haha!

Minus One

I feel a bit sad that  Iza wasn't able to join us that day.
Time constraints.
Miscommunication.
Name it.
Less talk, less mistakes.
But definitely more photos.
Blessed. Loved. And Thankful.
Aren't we all?
=)

Thank you, Liezyl for the photos, as always. =)
